Swissbau 2007: Great Spaces went down well with the public

Haworth exhibited in Basel with an exclusively designed 110 square metre stand and was the only exhibitor to put the accent on the office environment. Over the five-day trade fair, Haworth advisors met several hundred interested people who took a keen interest in the stand and were given advice. There was a noticeably high proportion of architects - a result which Mark Helfenstein, CEO of Haworth Schweiz, was very pleased with. His message to this target group: Haworth is a valuable partner when it comes to planning and equipping an efficient working environment. "We can readily contribute in the early stages by developing optimal solutions in the planning and construction process of an office building", Helfenstein said.

The stand was equipped from top to bottom with its own products, highlighting the "Great Spaces" initiative of the company. The space separation system Esedra created, through its glass elements, protected spaces for presentations and discussions, while at the same time allowing a perspective and overview. For deeper discussions, interested parties could sit down on the revolving Zody work-chair equipped with an asymmetrical backrest system. With the new seminar and row-seating system dsc axis 9000 and the Tutti space separation system, Haworth arranged a small cinema for the work "Kunst aufräumen" by Ursus Wehrli. A further highlight of the stand was the newly launched furniture system K22 that was attractively presented in an installation with a water feature.

Haworth registers a very positive result from its participation in Swissbau. Firstly, some very promising contacts were made. Secondly, it has become clear that the new positioning of the company towards becoming a complete supplier of know-how and system solutions for the office environment, is receiving increasing attention.

Altogether, over 100,000 specialist visitors from throughout Switzerland and neighbouring countries obtained information about the latest products and services of approximately 1400 exhibitors at Swissbau 07 at the end of January. The number of visitors increased by 9 percent compared with the previous Swissbau. Overall, the event was praised for the high quality and investment potential of its visitors.
