Haworth Frankfurt showroom a place of enlightenment
Haworth's Frankfurt showroom was selected, for the first time, as a hosting site for one of the many events that took place during the recent Luminale international festival of lighting culture in Germany.
Artists from both the Light + Building trade fairs, simultaneously taking place, took advantage of our showroom's natural light to host a special interactive play reading focused, of course, on the topic of light.
The play, titled "Saving Project," was a mix of scientific and literary text read by an artist group from Isochrone, who staged themselves about Haworth's 1,000 sq. m. showroom, solely using its natural light to adapt the scenes. The showroom's location on the Rhein River offered a stunning backdrop to the blend of light, sound and text for a most unique atmosphere.
The combination of the Light+Building and Luminale serve as a platform for architects, designers, urban planners and artists to exhibit their talents through fantastic illuminated projects on various architectural canvases including bridges, buildings, churches and river embankments.
Luminale occurs every two years in various regions of Germany, and the works are viewed by more than 100,000 visitors.
