Marc Alessandri

In French culture, furniture design and interior decorations are closely allied and Marc Alessandri is one of France's most important designers in these industries.

The architect, who was born in 1932, served as President of the Interior Design Association for over six years. In addition, he is one of the founding fathers of the VIA, a French governmental organisation concerned with the high quality interior design.

The selection of the highest quality material is just as important a feature as the functionality, as the "Decade" series for Haworth clearly shows.

Alessandri's designs won the Bronze Medal at the 1994 International Interior Design Exhibition (IIDEX) in Toronto.
