VDA Multimedia s.p.a. is the parent company of VDA Elettronica. The head office of this multinational company is in Pordenone, Italy. VDA is originally an Italian company, and now a world leader in Interactive TV in-room automation systems for the hotel industry. They have provided solutions for illustrious clients such as the Ritz hotel in Paris and the 7-star hotel in Dubai.
The new group headquarters is 600m2 of office space on the 5th floor of a glass building on the Corso Garibaldi in Milan.
Challenge
The office space had previously housed another business, and needed a full renovation. The goal was to bring together three distinct companies from the group in a single office space, focussing on flexibility, comfort and time saving, but also aiming to foster communication and collaboration. Evidently, working in the industry VDA does, multimedia and technology integration was an important factor, particularly in client facing zones, such as meeting rooms. The client also defined quick delivery and installation as critical factors.

Customer Story
The first step was removing all existing furniture and drywalls, as well as covering the raised flooring with a hard wearing textile offering excellent acoustic and aesthetic properties.
The organisation of storage units and the use of glass walls to create offices maintained the natural brightness and transparency throughout the space, allowing visual contact without diminishing privacy.
The Epure desk system was installed in a spiral configuration, creating unique workstations. This style, along with the ergonomic and height adjustment features, was very popular. Particular attention was paid to the acoustic solutions with the provision of low profile ceiling panels that improved aesthetics and sound management.
