Primacall is a national provider of telecommunication services based in Berlin. It offers voice, internet and data services, using the most up-to-date technologies.
Challenge
Haworth was asked to plan the interior for an open plan space to be used as call centre. We developed a modern and technology oriented call centre with bench workstations in cooperation with acoustic specialists and an architect. Primacall has a high capacity of calls so the acoustic properties of products chosen for this project were focal.
It was a challenge to fit 300 workstations into the 2,800m2 space while maintaining a sense of audible distance from neighbouring desks. The solution was back to back clustered benches in groups of 8, 10 and 12 users, with the Vertical Office range providing dividers between desks, and headphones to further insulate against disturbance.
Scope
300 back-to-back benches in clusters of 8, 10 and 12 users in a 2,800m2 open plan office space.
