Johnson & Johnson is a global American pharmaceutical, medical devices and consumer packaged goods manufacturer founded in 1886.The Corporation includes some 250 subsidiary companies with operations in over 57 countries.
Challenge
Johnson & Johnson France headquarters are located in Issy-les-Moulineaux, South-West of Paris. The main building is 24,000m2 plus annexes. 1200 people work on the site. The furniture had become obsolete and was no longer appropriate to the users needs. Comfort and flexibility were at the core of the project, as well as the new corporate image that the new layout should convey.
The choice of a unique furniture concept for all collaborative areas and a single range for all executive rooms, for this building and also for all Johnson & Johnson locations in France, not only fulfils a range of needs in one go, but also saves surface space and increases flexibility.
As an example, the diamond shaped table on castors serves both as a small meeting table in private offices and as a height-adjustable table for printers in shared areas.
Scope / Application
A 24,000m2 area, plus annexes. The project included reception and waiting areas, collaborative work settings as well as executive and meeting rooms.
Haworth created special reception solutions and special desking systems as well as products from the standard portfolio.
