Orgatec 2010: Spotlight on LTB lounge

In the challenging and ever-changing world of business the need for effective and creative collaboration is greater than ever. Some would even say it is essential to survive. Haworth believes that collaborative space is a powerful breeding ground for communication and innovation, as do the French designers Catherine Le Téo and Thierry Blet.  One outcome of this shared belief is LTB Lounge, a brand-new product range that can further creative collaboration processes through new work settings and postures.

New ways of working

Transforming a business to make it fit for the challenges of today’s and tomorrow’s world is not least a matter of changing work styles and aligning organisational culture with strategic goals. Collaborative space can be a powerful tool in attaining these goals. Thanks to technologies that make mobility at work possible, the opportunity to introduce new work styles, settings and postures has never been greater.

The innovative concept behind LTB addresses the need to support the evolution of work styles and offer new ways of working. Much more than just a new modular lounge, it offers a wide scope of applications and a variety of different settings that support different work activities and behaviours: group thinking and knowledge sharing, unplanned corridor chats, relaxing and regenerating, or solo work when LTB is combined with other furniture.

Living, Thinking, Being together at work

LTB echoes the name of the designers Le Téo & Blet while also conjuring up associations with the people who are at the very heart of the work performance: Living, Thinking, Being together at work. LTB is flexible, versatile and stimulating. Its flexibility is thanks to the modular solutions with only a few simple components. Its versatility is evident in the wide scope of applications it can create, including reflective, dynamic or interactive collaboration. Finally it stimulates the individual because LTB enables people to move away from sitting at a desk or table and continue working creatively in different body postures.

Products: benches with and without armrests (mounted or movable), tall or short shelves (library), tables with integrated cabling.
