Orgatec 2010: Spotlight on Esedra3 walls
Partitions are no good if they are not light, elegant and flexible. Esedra3, a demountable partitioning system designed and developed by Haworth Design Studio, meets all three of these criteria to offer users a broad range of solutions. Esedra3 offers maximum design freedom thanks to the new single main profile with three grooves.
This new system of glazed or solid demountable partition walls has been developed from the single Esedra partition that has been successfully marketed for several years now. Esedra3 retains the main technical features of the single partition, i.e., the aluminium structure, a minimum of vertical structural elements, an adjustable height to adapt to different floor levels, easy levelling of the glass and solid panels (even after installation), and totally simple installation and subsequent management. However, a number of significant features have been added.
New features
The main new feature of Esedra3 is the single main profile with three grooves. These support single, double or triple panels of any of the finishes to create a single seamless wall. The new design is light and elegant as well as being extremely flexible so that rooms can be easily rearranged without time-wasting dismantling and reconfiguration. Customers can choose between transparent, extra-clear, acid-etched, printed or screen-printed glass, high-performance acoustic glass and melamine, steel, wood veneer, lacquer finish or ceramic panels.
Like all Haworth products, Esedra3 complies with the company’s strict environmental sustainability policy. Nearly all the materials are recycled or recyclable to give the product a high degree of environmental friendliness and ensure it is easy to disassemble at the end of its lifecycle.
High quality
Esedra3 is a quality product in other ways, too. It is a great sound insulator and comes in a wide range of finishes. If required, wiring and lighting fixtures can be embedded inside or along Esedra3 partitions in the bottom and top track (when not housing panels), inside solid modules thanks to the slots provided on all posts and transoms connecting solid panels, or on the posts positioned by the doors. A dedicated technical module is also available to meet any special cable-management needs.
